Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to participate in UP CNET Counselling:

• Age: The minimum age for admission is 17 years as on or before 31st December.

Educational Qualifications (as per INC Regulations):

1. Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard (10+2) examination with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in PCB, along with passing English individually from any recognized board.
2. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the required aggregate marks in PCB subjects are 40% instead of 45%.
3. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility in the B.Sc. Nursing program.
4. Candidates from State Open Schools recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government, with Science subjects and English, are also eligible.

Other Criteria:

5. Colour-blind candidates are eligible, provided they use corrective contact lenses or spectacles.
6. Medical Fitness: Admission is subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board constituted by the Government Medical College or the District Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
7. Marital Status: Married candidates are also eligible for admission.

UP Nursing Counselling Procedure

Candidates can visit the official portal of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, to register for NEET 2026 Uttar Pradesh B.Sc Nursing counselling. Below, we have mentioned the step-by-step counselling process.

Step 1: CNET Counselling Registration

• Register for counselling by logging in at abvmuup.edu.in using your registration ID (same as in your application form) and password.
• Once logged in, your personal details—such as candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, category, and address—will be automatically pre-filled based on your CNET 2026 registration.
• Next, upload the Class 10 and 12 marksheets, update your Uttar Pradesh domicile status, and upload relevant certificates for domicile (if applicable), minority status (if applicable), and category (if applicable).
• Pay the counselling fees online: ₹500 as the counselling registration fee and ₹5,000 as the counselling security fee. Both amounts are deposited together as a single payment of ₹5,500.

Step 2: Choice Filling, Seat Allotment, and Admission Process

Select as many colleges as you wish from the list available in the CNET counselling portal, according to your preference, within the specified dates.

Take a printout of your filled choices for future reference.

Note: Candidates allocated a seat in Round 1 must log in to the portal and choose one of the following options within the deadline:

• Option 1 – Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and do not participate in Round 2.
• Option 2 – Float: Accept the allotted seat but wish to upgrade and participate in Round 2.
• Option 3 – Decline: Decline the allotted seat and participate in Round 2.

Candidates selecting Option 1 or Option 2 must deposit a seat confirmation fee of ₹40,000 to ABVMU UP via online payment or challan. This amount will be transferred to the allotted college and adjusted against the tuition fee after completion of all rounds of counselling.

After paying the seat confirmation fee, report in person to the allotted college within the specified schedule.

Carry your original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies. Upon reporting, pay an admission fee of ₹2,000 at the college, which will be adjusted against the total fee.

The college will verify your documents and update the status in the college portal. If all eligibility criteria are met, you will be issued a duly signed provisional admission letter.
